WebFeb 25, 2011 · I order 2 Novak SK2XC shifter cable kits. I just got the one in the 99, it took about 4 hours with wrestling with rusty bolts and crap but all in all a fairly easy install. No more rattle and it shifts like butter and stays in gear !! I can't wait to get to work on the 06 now. I would recommended this kit to anyone. I've installed a few of them and even made my own for one vehicle while I was waiting on Novak to get finished up with theirs. Novak says that is on purpose to prevent binding in extreme flex situations. I wasn't real happy with it either, so I thought that I would try the cable solution this time.
